Street Dance encompasses a variety of social dance styles, including Breakin', popping, and locking. This allows for freedom of movement and expression, promoting interaction with other dancers and spectators. We're excited to add Street Dance to the Urban Games calendar and look forward to seeing duets and crews dance in front of the iconic Pierhead Building.

We'll be building a stage on the doorstep of the Pierhead building down Cardiff Bay. With local DJs providing the soundtrack for the event we believe this event will be a brilliant celebration of street dance in Wales.

We are excited to invite duet and group street dancers down to Cardiff Bay to compete during the Urdd Urban Games.

Event info

The Street Dance competitions will take place over the 17th of June 2023 in front of the Pierhead Building, Cardiff Bay. There will be separate duet and group competitions each with a chance of taking home the Urdd Urban Games trophy.

Duets and groups can perform for up to 4 minutes and the music must be either Welsh language or Instrumental.
